Well-being is more than just being “not sick”
You know what it takes to avoid getting sick. You eat well, exercise and take care of yourself. And still, you feel like there could be more- you want to feel great, vitalized and full of energy. I had this problem. Even when I thought I was being “healthy”, I was exhausted and often felt uncomfortable in my body.
I thought I was doing what was best for my health, I thought I was taking care of myself but I wasn’t. I didn’t have the energy to participate fully in my life. Then I made a commitment to myself, a dedication to my health and wellbeing, putting my wellness at the forefront of my life’s focus.
I understand it can be hard to choose our own wellbeing when life is so full of loved ones and places to put our energy. It can feel scary, risky. From this place we don’t even know what is possible, how much better life can be. When you feel better as an individual, the way you show up for the people you love is optimized. When your energy is high and you feel good, you’re literally living a different life.

A current hot topic in research and health is the elimination of gluten. We are seeing “Paleo” and other gluten free diets increase in popularity. Celiac disease is becoming more common and many people are experiencing gluten sensitivities or allergies. We now understand that gluten increases inflammation and can cause digestive issues that are known to lead to autoimmune disease and other chronic health conditions. Although everyone can benefit from reducing gluten and diversifying their grains, some individuals do well when eating gluten. My goal is to learn about your unique body and find the best fit for you while considering the information we now have available from research.
